Can I Combine Two Partitions Without Data Loss?

I have two partitions and only one has data on it. I want to combine the two partitions to make a larger partition to make my data in one place. How to do this without losing data? Can I do this on a new SSD? I am open to all options! Thank you!

Many users have partitions without data, so merging partitions becomes a new trend. Merging partitions refers to combining two or more partitions on a hard drive into a single partition, which allows users to manage partitions more efficiently. There are two options for you to merge Windows partitions - Disk Management and a reliable third-party partition master.

Comparatively speaking, a professional partition master is simpler and more effective than Disk Management as it can merge two non-adjacent partitions. EaseUS Partition Master is my best recommendation, which can help you combine two partitions without deleting the partition or losing data.

Scenario 1. Merge Two Adjacent Partitions

Step 1. Install this software, right-click on the partition that will be kept, and choose "Merge."

Step 2. Pick one partition next to the selected partition to combine. Click "OK" to begin.

Step 3. Click the "Execute Task" > "Apply" to combine two partitions.

This operation will merge two partitions and add space from the second partition to the first partition.

Scenario 2. Merge Two Non-adjacent Partitions

If you want to merge two partitions that are not contiguous, refer to this tutorial:

Step 1. Right-click on the partition with free space and choose "Allocate Space."

Step 2. Select the kept partition and drag the partition panel rightward to add the free space. Then click "OK" to confirm.

Step 3. Click the "Execute Task" button > "Apply" option to start the process.
