I plan to install a new Windows OS on my HP Elitebook 840 G1 that is using Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit). Where can I find the procedure for changing the BIOS to UEFI? Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Unified Extensible Firmware Interface (UEFI) became a better alternative for the Basic Input/Output System (BIOS) in many modern computers. UEFI offers several benefits, such as faster boot times, increased security features, and support for larger storage capacities. This post will provide a professional and full tutorial on how to change to UEFI boot mode on an HP computer.
Before enabling UEFI boot mode, you should convert the system disk to GPT so the computer can boot successfully. To complete this task without losing data, you should turn to a reliable disk manager - EaseUS Partition Master Professional. This tool can help you convert the system disk from MBR to GPT safely and quickly.
Follow the steps carefully:
Notice: Create a complete backup of the MBR system disk in case of any accident.
Step 1. Install and open EaseUS Partition Master on your PC.
Step 2. Enter the "Disk Converter" tab, select the "Convert MBR to GPT" feature, and press "Next."
Step 3. Select the HP system disk you need to convert to GPT and proceed with the conversion by clicking "Convert."
After the conversion, you can change the BIOS mode in the HP BIOS settings:
Step 1. Restart your HP computer, and long-press the "Esc" key to open the Startup Menu. Press "F10" to go to the BIOS Setup Utility.
Step 2. In BIOS Settings, navigate to the "Boot" tab and select the "UEFI" option under "UEFI/BIOS Boot Mode."
Step 3. Click "Save & Exit" and press "Enter" to confirm.
Reboot your HP computer to see if it is using UEFI boot mode:
