Download Folders Disappeared from Dock on Mac, How to Recover

My Finder's Download folder was accidentally removed. Can someone please tell me how to recover this, as I can't find it in the trash? Why did it disappear? How do I put it back?

Your files and downloads won't disappear entirely if you remove the Downloads folder or the contents inside of it. You could get them all back using a recovery tool. With just one click, deleted files on Mac can be recovered with EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard for Mac.

Here are the steps:

Step 1. Click "Scan" to begin a search on the hard disk, external drive, or SSD where you misplaced the folder.

Step 2. Look through the results of the scan until you locate the files you require, then use the "Type" and "Path" options to narrow your search.

Step 3. Preview lost data, recover it by selecting "Recover," and store it safely.

Suppose your download folders on the Mac dock disappear because you mistakenly set the system preferences. In that case, you can resolve the Mac's disappearing Dock and recover the download folder issue by resetting them. On a Mac, you can configure your Apple menu by doing the following:

  • To access the system settings menu, click the Apple logo in the top left corner of your Mac's desktop.
  • Select the "Menu Bar & Dock".
  • Remove the check mark next to "Automatically conceal and show the Dock."

If you accidentally deleted the download folders, you can recover them with the help of Time Machine backup on Mac. To prevent data loss, Time Machine will produce hourly, daily, weekly, and monthly backups for Mac users. If the files in the Downloads folder disappeared, a Mac Time Machine backup may be used to restore them.

You can retrieve the Downloads folder by following these steps:

  • To open it, type Time Machine into the Spotlight.
  • Here, you'll see a list of all the accessible backups. Remember to attach your external hard drive to your Mac if you used one to back up your Mac.
  • Select "Restore" after locating the target file or the Downloads folder in the backup.

Use EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard to recover deleted or lost files easily and quickly.
