Generally speaking, you cannot clone a hard drive without using third-party cloning software.

But to some degree, cloning a hard drive means creating a backup of your hard drive. Therefore, you can use Backup and Restore (Windows 7) on your computer to create a backup of your hard drive.

Here is how:

Step 1. Navigate to the Control Panel on your PC.

Step 2. Click System and Security and then go to Backup and Restore Windows (Windows 7).

Step 3. Tap Create a System Image.

Step 4. 3 options are available: On a Network Selection, On a Hard Disk, and On One or More DVDs. Click On a Hard Disk and select one from the menu.

Step 5. Tap Start Backup.

In fact, the best way to clone a drive is using third-party cloning software. EaseUS Disk Copy is one of them that can meet your needs.
