How to Clone Old 2.5 SATA Onto New Laptop With M.2 SSD

Hello everyone, as you can see, I don't know much about modern computing, so please bear with me as I am sure to get some of the terms wrong. I appreciate the experienced people here and hope you can assist me in determining what I want to accomplish with my new laptop. BLUF: My old laptop has a 2.5‘ SATA SSD. I recently purchased a new laptop that has an M2 SSD and an empty 2.5‘ SATA slot. Both SSDs have a capacity of 250 GB. I despise change and want to keep my existing settings, user profiles, and software--basically, I want to duplicate the complete experience of my old laptop on my new laptop. Is this feasible? How do I go about doing it?

  • Plug in your old 2.5'' SATA SSD to your new PC. Connect it with an adaptor if it lacks a slot.
  • Start EaseUS Disk Copy and choose "Disk Mode" from the list of available options.
  • As the source disk, select the old 2.5" SATA drive.
  • As the destination disk, select the new M.2 SSD.
  • Examine the cloning process flow and click the "Proceed" button to begin the cloning.

The previous SATA drive will be cloned to the M.2 SSD using EaseUS Disk Copy. Depending on the magnitude of the data being replicated, the procedure may take some time.

  • When the cloning procedure is finished, shut down your computer and remove the old SATA drive.
  • Restart your new laptop and select the M.2 SSD as the boot device.

You can successfully clone an old 2.5" SATA drive onto a new laptop with an M.2 SSD by following these procedures.
