How to Delete Recovery Partition That is No Longer Needed on Secondary Disk

I installed a new SSD and cloned Windows 10 onto it from the old HDD yesterday. Now, I plan to use the old HDD for storage, but there is a System Reserved Partition and a Recovery Partition on it. How do I delete the Recovery Partition that is no longer needed on the secondary disk? Any help would be appreciated!

To delete the recovery partition on your secondary disk, you'll need assistance from third-party professional disk and partition management software.

Due to the limitations of Windows, users are not allowed to perform operations on the recovery partition in the built-in utility. As you may have noticed, the "Delete Volume…" option is greyed out if you try removing the recovery partition via Disk Management.

Therefore, to break through the limitations, you need tools like EaseUS Partition Master. This reliable software offers a free and powerful feature that can help you delete any partition on your disk with one simple click.

You can follow the easy steps below to delete the recovery partition on your secondary HDD:

Step 1. Open EaseUS Partition Master and go to the "Partition Manager" tab.

Step 2. Right-click on the recovery partition on your old HDD and select "Delete."

Step 3. Click "Yes" to confirm the message and hit "Execute xx Task" > "Apply" to start.

If you want to remove everything on the old HDD, this tool also offers a corresponding feature that allows you to completely wipe the hard drive and erase all the data.
