How to Fix PowerPoint Keeps Crashing on Mac

Hey, I was delivering a speech with PowerPoint as an aid this morning. Everything went well at first, but suddenly, the whole screen turned transparent. I tried and tried, but the PowerPoint keeps crashing on my Mac. I felt dead awkward. Is there any way to solve this problem? By the way, I was recording a presentation then. Thank you in advance.

I read your post carefully and found that you are nervous because your PowerPoint keeps crashing when you make a presentation, right? That may be because your PowerPoint file is either corrupted or lost. You can repair and recover your file using EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard for Mac Pro.

Let's look at the detailed steps:

Step 1. Choose the location where your PowerPoint files were initially stored and click "Search for lost files".

Step 2. Wait until the scan is finished, and you can see the scanning results on the left panel. Choose "Documents," and you can filter them by format. For PowerPoint, you should choose PPT or PPTX files.

Step 3. You can preview the files by double-clicking them. Choose "Recover" to get lost files back at once.

Try clearing the PowerPoint cache to see if it works. Do as follows:

  • Open Finder by pressing "Command + Shift + G", and then type in ~/Library.
  • Open the Containers folder and find the folder named com.microsoft.PowerPoint or Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Click and drag the file to the desktop. Now, restart PowePoint.

It may help if you last cleaned your cache a while ago. But you're sure that your files are lost. In that case, it is recommended to use some Mac document recovery tools like EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard for Mac Pro, also available for macOS 14 Sonoma, to ease the process and get your PowerPoint files back.
