Where Are My iMessage Stored

Hey, I cannot find my old iMessages now. But when I use some specific words to search for them, they show conversation. Could you please help by telling me where they are stored? Thank you in advance.

If you have set up iCloud for your messages, they will be stored in the cloud. Your accessed messages are also stored locally; you can find them on your iPhone, iPad, and Mac. But if you forget to sync your iMessages to iCloud or you want to find your iMessage on Mac like this:

  • Launch Finder
  • Find the "Go" menu hold option on the keyboard, and choose "Library" from the menu
  • Click the "Messages" folder
  • Click the "Archive" folder, and you can view all your iMessage there

If you still cannot find your messages, you may have accidentally deleted them once you locate the folder. In this case, you can try recovering your deleted iMessage by using software like EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard for Mac.

Step 1. Select the folder and scan: Open EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard for Mac and choose the disk where you have stored the lost iMassage (you can find the folder by following the instructions above) and click "Search for lost files" to start scanning.

Step 2. Filter and preview lost files: When the scanning is over, you can use the Filter feature in the upper right corner to find the lost files you need.

Step 3. Recover lost iMessages: To preview recovered messages, double-click the file. If you are sure you have chosen the right file, click "Recover".You can try retrieving it from Time Machine if you have enabled Time Machine backup. Just find the file that stores your messages, choose the file, and click "Restore" from the menu.

Use EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard to recover deleted or lost files easily and quickly.
